Michelle Senesac Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2025.
Michelle "Micky" Rose Senesac, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2025.

Michelle was born on August 28, 1962 in Oxnard, California to Don and Rita Senesac. Don and Rita joyously welcomed not only Michelle on that day, but her twin sister, Mary.

Michelle was a happy, athletic child with a good sense of humor. She always preferred to be outside completing chores alongside her Dad or neighbors. Micky and Mary played in an accordion band for several years, performing and traveling throughout California. Micky and her siblings enjoyed a busy and active family life. Family vacations were spent visiting relatives in Indiana. She truly enjoyed time with her extended family and living "life on the farm".

Micky was a proud 1980 graduate of Hueneme High School where she played basketball and softball, as well as was a member of the Interact Club - participating in their varied events. Micky was voted by her classmates as "Most Versatile".

Micky continued her education and sports during her college years. She played basketball at Ventura College and CSU Dominguez Hills. Micky completed her Bachelor of Science in Business at CSU Northridge and her Master of Arts in Education at California Lutheran University.

These degrees took Michelle to employment at Patagonia and Kinko's in the Accounts Payable department. She also taught at Blackstock Jr. High School, and Pacific, Camarillo and Frontier High Schools. She taught various subjects, including Math, Biology and Business courses. Throughout her work career, Michelle was known as dedicated, friendly and sociable. She also coached basketball at Camarillo High School. Another way for Micky to share her love of the game with high school athletes! She enjoyed developing and maintaining friendships with fellow workers/teachers and especially enjoyed assisting and developing relationships with students.

In her spare time, Micky loved being outdoors. She enjoyed skiing, camping, hiking, harbor kayaking, dirt bike riding and led river rafting tours. She also enjoyed sharing these pursuits with her family members, particularly her nieces and nephews - an example of her generous heart! Micky also loved watching sports on television - especially college sports - football and basketball. Micky had several pet dogs throughout her life and absolutely loved each dog! Each one was an important part of her family!

Michelle was predeceased by her loving mother, Rita. She leaves behind her beloved father, Don (Julia) and four loving siblings, Eric, Ray (Karen), Mary (Mike) and Levina. Micky loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Richard), Elmer (Charlotte), Marcus and Elizabeth, as well as grandnephews, Carlos, Elliott and Rowan. Michelle leaves behind a loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, we ask friends to make a donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County (https://www.hsvc.org). Please be sure to dedicate your donation to honor Michelle.

Families and friends are invited to pay their respects at either or both of these services to remember Michelle. A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Wednesday, April 23 at the Santa Clara Cemetery and Mortuary (2370 N. H Street, Oxnard) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 16 at 10:00 AM at the Santa Clara Cemetery and Mortuary.

Micky was always so welcoming when I´d come from Ohio to visit Ray and Karen Senesac. I remember having fun game nights with Micky some 30+ years ago. And when I´d visit Ray and Karen with my 3 children, Micky welcomed them too. Micky was definitely a bright light and will most certainly be missed by all who knew her. RIP Micky.

Micky's passing saddens me. Ive known her since kindergarten and went to school through Ventura College. She was a good friend and I always enjoyed spending time with her.
