Michelle Voth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Michelle Louise "Meesh" Voth (Quandt), age 43, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on September 13, 1982, in Sacramento, California, Michelle lived a life rooted in compassion, creativity, and deep spiritual connection.

Michelle earned her bachelor's degree in religious studies with a focus on spirituality from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California. Her academic path reflected her lifelong commitment to exploring faith and cultivating an authentic way of being that honored her experience and love for all people.

Following college, Michelle dedicated several years to volunteer service across the country. She worked with an after-school program in Camden, New Jersey; contributed to Jubilee in Georgia; and spent six transformative years at Heartland Farm in Kansas. Operated by the Dominican Sisters of Great Bend, Heartland Farm was more than just a place of work-it became a home where Michelle immersed herself in the rhythms of organic farming and intentional community living. There she nurtured gardens and friendships alike, forming bonds that would last a lifetime. It was also at Heartland Farm that she met her husband, Aaron Voth.

After leaving Heartland Farm, Michelle continued to share her healing gifts through massage therapy. Her work reflected the same nurturing spirit that defined every chapter of her life-offering care not only through touch but through presence and empathy.

Together with Aaron, Michelle built a homestead they lovingly nicknamed the Quothstead, where they welcomed their daughter Sophia into a life close to the land. Surrounded by animals, prairie grasses, and wildflowers, Michelle nurtured both her family and her deep love for the natural world. She delighted in gardening, photographing prairie plants, and capturing family moments through her photography, weaving her creativity into the rhythms of home and the beauty of the prairie.

Michelle's creativity was a vibrant thread woven throughout her life. She expressed herself through photography, music, and mixed visual arts-each medium offering a glimpse into her soulful perspective on the world. Whether gathering with friends or capturing beauty through a lens or brushstroke, Michelle brought warmth and authenticity to every interaction.

Even after her diagnosis, Michelle continued to strive to live fully. Alongside her art and music, she set bold new goals for herself, training not only for long bike rides but spending meaningful time with friends and creating an art show. Her determination and courage in the face of illness reflected her unwavering commitment to embrace life with energy, creativity, and hope.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Aaron Voth; their daughter Sophia Voth; her parents Jeff and Cheryl Quandt; her brother Chris Quandt, sister-in-law Emily Quandt, and nephews Jordan and James Quandt.

Christianity and spirituality were central to Michelle's journey. She sought not only belief but embodiment-living out values of kindness, courage, strength, and healing in ways that touched all who knew her.

May Michelle's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire lives rooted in love and authenticity. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Creation Fellowship Church 221 Muse Street. There will be a meal following the service for close friends and family of Michelle.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are directly tied to Aunt Meesh, whether it be flying kites on the beach, watching the fireflies, or solving a jigsaw puzzle. Her joyful, fun-loving spirit has deeply imprinted my life, and I couldn't have asked for a better Aunt.
