Mickey Joe Onder

BLAIRSTOWN, N.J. _ Mickey Joe Onder, 29, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Onder, the son of Anthony and Cyndi Sziwack Onder was born May 25, 1979, in Newton.
He resided in Ogdensburg, N.J., and Franklin, N.J., for most of his life and in Vernon for four years before recently moving to Blairstown.
Mr. Onder was a laminating assistant for Lamtec Corp. of Flanders, N.J. He was a graduate of Wallkill Valley Regional High School where he was a member of the cross-country team.
Mr. Onder also served with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Onder was a loving and wonderful husband and father. He was a selfless person, always giving of himself to help others.
Prior to his death he requested his organs be donated so he could continue to help others.
Having been named after Mickey Mantle, Mr. Onder was an avid New York Yankees Fan. He was also a great fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Mr. Onder was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Onder and Cyndi Tompkins.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Johanson) Onder; three children, Rachel, Rylee and Anthony; brothers and sisters, Tonda Fuller of Carlisle, Pa., Kyle Tompkins of Hanover, Pa., Terrina Latourette of Oneonta, Jim Lame of Ogdensburg and Chas Tompkins of Fayetteville, N.C. He will always be remembered by his nieces and nephews as "Great" Uncle Me-Mick.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Ogdensburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
