Migdalia Brower

Migdalia Brower was born on August 8, 1952 in Manhattan, New York passed away on October 6, 2014. She was the second of four children born to the late Benito Guerra Ortiz and Alicia Boria Ortiz. Migdalia attended Dodge Vocational High School was a member of the Grammacy Marching Band and graduated in May of 1977. She was preceded in death by her son Keith Joseph Pyatt and brother, Carlos Ortiz of Bronx, NY. She is survived by daughters Bernadette Laeshone Kearse of Raleigh, NC and Jennifer and Brian Wright of Benson, NC. Migdalia relocated from New York and made her home in North Carolina. She had a successful career at the News and Observer newspaper company in Raleigh, NC. Migdalia was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 26, 1983 and was a faithful servant of Jehovah for over 33 years. She loved Jehovah very much. She enjoyed the pioneer ministry and enthusiastically pursued the goal of full-time service to Jehovah. She was privileged to aid several Bible students to come to know and love Jehovah. She always had a positive attitude toward the ministry which could be seen with the family and her Christian brothers and sisters. On May 1, 2004 Migdalia married Stanley A. Brower at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Zebulon, NC. Of this union joined Lamarr Brower and Taurean Brower of Appleton WI, Stanley Brower of Muskegon MI, Aisha Brower and Janay Brower of Raleigh, NC, and Christy Brower Muskegon MI Migdalia was known to be a kind, helpful and compassionate person among her family, friends and in the community. Many friends and family cherished her genuine personality and valued her character when it came to God's word. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Stanley A. Brower; daughters Bernadette Kearse and Jennifer and Husband Brian Wright; her mother Alicia Boria Ortiz of Canovanas, Puerto Rico, sister Jenny Ortiz of Bronx, NY, brother Jose Ortiz of Bronx, NY; grandchildren: Alicia Anderson and Jasmine Kee of Benson, NC Brandi Pyatt of Raleigh, NC, Chantale Anderson of Benson, NC, Ashlei Kearse of Apex NC, Kashawn Tameek Quadell Hayes of Benson, NC Ashya Brower of WI, JaMarri Smith and Ja'Siyah Gamble of Muskegon, MI, Takysha Anderson of Roosevelt, NY, Kelly Wright Ward of Selma, NC and Richard Wright of Durham, NC; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
