Mike Doyle

DOYLE, Mike Mike Doyle of Didsbury, Alberta died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 18, 2011 at Red Deer Hospital. Born in Ramsgate, England on March 15, 1946 to Audrey and Ken Doyle. His family immigrated to Canada when Mike was a child and he attended school in Calgary, Alberta. Mike was proud to be a tradesman and he worked as a pipefitter in the oil industry. He was a strong union man and his skill and work ethic quickly earned him advancement to foreman, then supervisor. He ended his working career as a supervising consultant for several oil companies. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends and spent many weekends at their favourite spots that he found while he was working across the province. Mike was always the first person to offer help with home improvements, repairs or vehicles, he could fix or build anything. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend. Mike is survived by his wife, Bibs, sons Kelly and Tim, grandchildren Jenna and Maddi, mother Audrey, sister Linda and nieces Shelly and Christie. To honor Mike's wishes, there will be no Service, this was a request that was typical of Mike. He also requested there be no flowers but would appreciate donations made in his name to STARS who he believed were true heroes. What is a world without Mike Doyle.......less.
