Mike Saiz Montano was called to heaven on March 20, 2016 after a long and hard battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 86 years old. Mike was born on April 4,1929 in Alameda New Mexico he is the son of Miguel Montano and Celsa Saiz both families were among the first settlers of the New Mexico Territory. Mike moved to Flagstaff Arizona in 1943 after the death of his mother. He remained in Flagstaff until he was called to serve his country in the Korean war. Mike was a Wolfhound with the United States Army. Mike was a strong man not only physically but emotionally. He lived his life to the fullest his way. Mike is preceded by his parents Miguel and Celsa Montano, Brother Max, Sisters Sophie and Alice Cancino. And his children Clyde Koury, Randy Montano, baby Mikey Montano and Donald Montano Mike is survived by his daughter Patty and son in law Floyd Wooldridge whom have been his caregivers for the past 15 years, his son Chuck –Michael Montano, grandsons Jeremiah (Stephanie) Wooldridge, Aaron Montano, and granddaughter Nikki Vega, Great Granddaughter Hailey Jean Wooldridge and his brother Johnny Montano, Our Angels Michelle Parker Olivero, Rayna Evans,Cecelia Mayoral and Elisa White.
Viewing and Rosary will take place on Monday March 28,2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Johnson Mortuary located 1415 S 1st Avenue Yuma, Arizona 85364
Funeral will be held at St Francis of Assisi catholic Church on Tuesday March 29,2016 at 10:00 am located at 1815 S. 8th Avenue Yuma, Arizona 85364 with final interment at Desert Lawn Memorial
