Miklos Sugar, May 24, 2019 of Audubon, PA. Beloved Husband of his first wife, the late Hedwig Yael (nee Ostry) Sugar. Devoted husband of his dear and second wife, Ruth Gold Sugar, (nee Lipsky). Father of Ronit Sugar (Robert Schiowitz) and Arnon Sugar (Lynn Scovill). Stepfather of Steven Gold and Debbie Callahan (nee Gold). Also survived by seven grandchildren. Born in Hungary in 1923; survived the Holocaust; emigrated in 1950 and helped build the nascent state of Israel; served as a doctor in the IDF in two wars; started a loving family; moved to the US in 1968; worked as a pediatric neurologist; retired in 1998; enjoyed the next 20 years traveling, becoming a locally acclaimed artist; then passed quietly and gracefully surrounded by loved ones. All with boundless love, compassion, patience, and humor. Services were held Sunday May 26, 2019 at Har Jehuda Cemetery (Upper Darby, PA). The family requests that contributions in his memory be made to The Parkinson's Foundation or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Dr. Miklos Sugar ( is/ was) one of tge best dictirs, one of the best Paediatricians i had ever known. Gufted with a vast fund of knowledge and remarkable teaching skills. If he was a Pediatric neurologist he was practicing general pediatrics then.. I was an intern at DCMH in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania in late 70s and he was a Pediatric Attending Physician who taught both bedside as well as in the Classroom, to GP/ FP residents. Ohh long ago ...I can never forget him. I used to think he was from Poland. May God give him eternal salvation and Peace, Amen!
I recently moved to Iowa.
