GREENSBORO - Mildred Blackmon departed life and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2008, after a long illness.
There will be a graveside ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at Piedmont Cemetery.
A native of Greensboro, she was employed and retired from UNC-G.
Those left to cherish her fond memories are her two daughters, Shirley Blackmon and Delois Blackmon both of Greensboro; five grandchildren, Derrick Blackmon (Lorraine) of Tucson, Ariz., Simone Blackmon, Troy Blackmon (Denise), Lisa B. Goode, and Brigette Blackmon all of Greensboro; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will follow the graveside service.
Services are entrusted to Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 E. Market St.
