Mildred Irene Gregory

GREGORY, Mildred Irene (Snyder) February 20, 1914 - April 27, 2017 Irene has "gone home". She was more than ready and went peacefully on Thursday afternoon April 27th. She was predeceased by her husband Jack and son Ken. She is survived by son Doug (Jane) and daughter-in-law Sandra. Irene leaves behind four granddaughters, Gina (Tony), Kristi (Dave), Tania and Melissa. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, Emilee, Jada, Quintin, Kale and Jake as well as one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia. Irene was the sixth child in a family of 15 children and is survived by two sisters, Ann and Ethel in Alberta, many nieces, nephews and their families. She was a hard working person who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed watching her sons play sports and delighted in her grandchildren. She was a great cook, she enjoyed playing games and was an amazing quilter. She loved her church and we are thankful she is now at peace. A special thank you to Dr. Ryan Liebscher and the staff at Sluggett House who took such good care of Irene for the past three months. We are so grateful. She entered our lives and is forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 8th at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room, The Victoria Church of the Nazarene, 4277 Quadra St. In lieu of flowers, if you choose, donations may be made to The Compassionate Resource Warehouse, 4277 Quadra St. Victoria, B.C.
