Bobbie was born August 26, 1930, in Council Bluffs, to the late Charles and Gladys (Spittler) Madsen. She married Robert Mass on August 25, 1951. They were blessed with two children, Douglas and Trudy. They made their home in Minden, Iowa and Underwood, Iowa before moving to Council Bluffs in 2004. Bobbie was a bookkeeper for Drs. Stoner, Weaver and Connor and a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mass in 2006; sisters, Betty Shadden and Vi Pendgraft; brother, Arnold Madsen.
She is survived by her daughter, Trudy Mass, of Council Bluffs; son, Douglas Mass and wife, Vickie Autobee, of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren, Dustin Mass, Angie Mass and fiance, Clint Gormley, Kristi Gaudreau and husband, Mike, Joe Andersen; great grandchildren, Michael and Samuel Gaudreau; sisters, Donna Harding, Mona Clark and husband, Marvin; brothers, Marvin Madsen, Leonard Madsen; sister-in-law, Leona Madsen, all of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Thursday, 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with Reverends Greg Carlson and Michael Harvey co-officiating. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at Bethany Presbyterian Church. The family will direct memorials.
