Mildred Wilson McGill

COLUMBIA -- Mildred Wilson McGill, 89, of The Methodist Oaks, Orangeburg, died Monday, August 26, 2002. Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at Main Street United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Joe Cal Watson and the Rev. Fred McDaniel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church.
Mrs. McGill, wife of the late Andrew Jackson "Jack" McGill, was born in Richland County, daughter of the late John and Daisy Wooten Wilson. She retired as office manager for Dr. John Durham, was a member of the Eau Claire Eastern Star, the Magdalene Circle of the Kings Daughters and Sons, the Amaranth, and the United Trainmen Auxiliary. A member of Main Street United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Coffee Club, Altar Guild, Guild Group Circle, Friendship Sunday School Class, and an Honorary Man of the United Methodist Men. The Fellowship Hall at Main Street was named for her and her late husband.
Surviving are Sonny and Barbara McGill, Lucy Lewis, and Margaret McElveen. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary W. Rawlinson.
