Mildred Turman Obituary
Mildred Ann Gilliland moved to Fairlawn, VA from Ohio at age 12 after the death of her father. She attended Radford High School, where she met and fell in love with Bill Turman. She helped found Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in 1945, Graduated from RHS in 1946, and graduated from Radford Community Hospital School of Nursing on September 7, 1950. She married Bill Turman at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church on September 8, 1950.
Services will be held at Fairlawn Presbyterian Church on Sunday April 27, 2025 at 2 p.m.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband Bill Turman.
She is survived by three daughters and their children:
Donna Anderson (w), sons Jeremy and Joshua Anderson.
Dianna and Kent Koebke, sons Karl and William Koebke.
Pati Roane, daughters Amanda (Mandy) and Allison Roane.
as well as ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairlawn Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association

My favorite memory of Millie was in June 1996 when Donna, Cristie, Millie and me at Virginia beach trying to find a honeymoon suite for Jeremy and Cristie. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. I will never forget her.

My grandmother was a beautiful lady. I have so many wonderful memories spending time with her at the house in Fairlawn and on Claytor Lake. She was always far more concerned about others than herself. I'll miss her laugh.
