Millicent Hayward Obituary
Millie was born on May 10, 1933 in Clockville, a daughter of Earl and Mildred N. Wright Tucker.
She was a graduate of Canastota High School Class of 1950. She had been a resident of Oneida since 1970.
She married John Barnes on Nov. 3, 1951. Mr. Barnes died Feb. 18, 1999. She later married Arthur Hayward on July 6, 1966 in Leesburg, Va. Mr. Hayward died on May 20, 1985.
Millie was employed at Oneida Limited Silversmiths from 1953 to 1969.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oneida.
Surviving are three daughters, Joy Jamerson of Kingsland, Ga., Jan Lee Barnes of Bradenton, Fla. and Linda Hayward of Oneida Castle; one son Jon Jay (Trisha) Barnes of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tanya (Brian) Giles, Tommy Aldridge, Jonathan (Rebecca) Barnes and Alex Barnes; one stepdaughter, Diane Hayward of Knoxboro; two stepsons Russell Hayward of Mich. and Douglas Hayward of Oneida Castle; one brother, Harold E. Tucker of Peterboro; one sister, Geraldine Reed of Oneida and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grand children, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 from the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Neil D. Coe, officiating. Interment will be made in Peterboro Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 342 Main St., Oneida. Memorial contributions may be made to Oneida Castle Volunteer Fire Department, 3989 Sholtz Road, Oneida, NY 13421.

Linda, I am so sorry to read of the loss of your mom. I am sorry for your loss. She was a nice lady and I am glad i got to see her the last time i did. I no it will be hard. My mom is going thou it right now becaue she just lost her husband and is all alone. Take it one day at a time.
