This is dedicated to the gentleman I considered to be my only Grandpa

As I look out my kitchen window, that faces the mountains, I am reminded of a loving and caring lady whom lays to rest at Forgetmenot Pond

There is a picture on my wall right by the window, of a young couple in love walking down the streets of Calgary enjoying every moment of life that life has to offers.

There is a picture in my head of a young couple together once again walking hand in hand into eternity together forever.

I feel that I am very privileged I had the opportunity to get to know such a kind hearted, caring and loving man who always tried in his own way to make you feel loved and cared for.

The Grandpa I knew would be more than willing to sit down and discuss any topic, sharing his life experience and worldly knowledge, always looking for the best possible solution to anyone’s problem.

I would like to thank the Anderson family for taking me into their fold for if this did not happen, I would not have met my one and only Grandpa who brought joy to my life and showed me how to care for my wonderful family.

Dad, If families had parents more like you & Mom this world would be a far better place. I believe you & Mom were the first people to show me, Pay it Forward. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful family.

Until we see each other again

I am so sad to learn of Milt's passing. He & his family took me into their own when I was most desperate for help.
Their care of me was in large part due to the wonderful example he set for them. His caring & cheerful outlook on life made him a joy to be around and my memories of the time I spent with him and his family remain very happy ones.

I knew little of Mr. Anderson, though he was clearly a very sweet and wise man. It was always easy to see how much Holly adored him, and now, how much she and her family will miss him.

Grandpa’s Poem

He was one of a kind that Grandpa of ours,
Remembering Birthdays and explaining for hours…

how the spring in the crankshaft did this or that
I can’t remember… I was watching the cat.

Wasn’t that interesting or I knew that already
but I always knew his love was constant and steady.

I could be who I was not put on a show
There wasn’t much about me he didn’t know.

Filled with knowledge about all you could think.
Explaining in detail the new kitchen sink!

I loved how he listened when I told a story
specially when it was animated loud and gory.

He would mouth my words and shake his head
until I pummeled that darn story totally dead.

I really felt special when he was around
His love was so good, true and sound.

I will see you again Dear Grandpa of mine…
Until then let Grandma know I’m fine.

#1 Granddaughter (Mom says I have to put as in first born) wink, wink.
