Milton Brown, Sr Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 3, 2024.
Milton Leon Brown, Sr. lived a beautiful life. On February 20, 2024, he took his final breathe peacefully with the love of his life Luedora Jackson Brown right beside him at MorningStar Assisted Living and Memory Care in Rio Rancho New Mexico. Although he took his last breath in New Mexico, Oxnard, California was where it all began and where home was for the entire family.

Born August 12, 1938, to Milton Leon Brown and Thelma Marie Tenner in Washington D.C. Leon, as everyone called him, joined the Navy in 1959 where he served for 12 years. Petty Officer Milton Brown received a Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service in Viet-Nam. After leaving the Navy, Leon began his career at 3M company in Camarillo, Ca where he excelled as a Supervisor and impacted lives for 24 years. During Leon's life in Oxnard, Ca, he was a member of Southcoast Fellowship in Ventura, and served as an Usher. In 2000, Leon and Luedora decided to move to Rio Rancho, NM where they built a wonderful life and made tons of friends. Calvary Chapel Northern Meadows is where Leon continued his relationship with God and made a huge impact on the lives of the families that attended with him. Leon was all about Family, and so many people have forever been changed by him.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Raven Angela Brown, and nephew/son Steven Ostermann.

Leon is survived by his beautiful and loving wife Luedora "Lue" Brown, his children: Carlet Jones, Paula Brown, Leon Brown II, Roxanne Dunlap (Romeo), Rutherford "Trae" Briers (Doris), Tyrone Brown (Jillian), Trevor Brown (Kim), and Tyshauna Brown.

Leon has a host of Grandchildren: Stacy, Kevin, Mark, Artenas, Carl, Kyana, Shannon, Joseph (Mary), Joshua, Rebekah, Rachel, Tianna, Shellyce, Ashley, Rutherford IV, Kaylin, Kaydence, Sa'mya, Kobi, Jordan, Kenadi, Brooklynn, Jacob and Jackson, as well as Great-Grandchildren, and tons of Nieces and Nephews who were also blessed to be loved by him right along with the Grands that he adored and loved with all of his heart. Leon was known as "Papi", "Grandpa", Uncle Leon and Mr. Leon. He wore those titles proudly and the love he gave to each of them will live on with them forever.

Leon requested to be Cremated. Those wishes have been granted. He also made his family promise not to have a service. And that wish has been granted as well. We ask that you continue to lift the Brown Family up in prayer and continue to live out the legacy of Family that Leon represented.

As we move forward in life, please remember these words from Leon: "Cherish those you love. Don't take anyone for granted. Seek God in all that you do. And make sure you pray. God is listening and He loves you just like I do."

I am so blessed to call him Daddy. He has walked by my side through all of my highs and even some of my lows. I carry his words and lessons in my heart. And I will forever be grateful for the blessing he has been to me and my kids.
My life is forever changed because of you Daddy. I love you. I cherish everything about you. And I miss you so much.
