As a child in the late fifties and early sixties Milt taught me to ride and was a great mentor and role model. Milt also taught me to be a better person. I went on to play polo for Valley Forge Millitary Academy and achieve the Trooper One designation as a freshman thanks to Milt's great training. I miss you Milt and pray for your eternal peace in heaven. Your student and friend Ralph Egerman

I owe my love of horses to Milt and Selznicks stables. His gift will pass through many future generations, as I have passed it on to my daughter.

I first met Milt when a classmate, Judy Apt (later Nathenson) had her 10th birthday party at Milt's stable. I was hooked. All my babysitting money went to riding at Milt's when I was a teenager, and I only looked at colleges that had riding programs. He was a great teacher, and will be missed.

I first got on a horse at Milt's place on Duncan Avenue when I was eight--a LONG time ago. He taught me and my older sister dressage principles without ever putting a name to it, and it was only years later when I took formal dressage lessons that I realized I already had that grounding. Milt truly loved all his horses and all his "kids," and was one of the kindest, most tolerant of men. I was so fortunate to have known him. To his family: I'm sure you know how lucky you were too.

I can remember riding horses with Milton when I was young. He was always friendly. He was a lovely man who had a great way with horses and all animals.

Some men are born great. Some men achieve greatness. Other men have greatness thrust upon them. This man was born great, and he only got better with age. I truely love you, Milt

While I didn't grow up with Milton the way my sister Mary did, I can't begin to count the number of wonderful stories I have heard over the years from Mary. I am so thankful for the gift of love and the understanding of horses and all creatures that Milton gave to so very, very many people throughout his life. He changed our Pittsburgh community for the better and his legacy lives on in so many caring horsemen.
