Minnie C.
Minnie C. Chaney, 102, passed away October 31, 2016 at Laurels of Toledo Nursing Home. Born in Magnolia, MS, she moved to Toledo in 1944. She worked for the City of Toledo Health Department and was a longtime member of Third Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by four brothers, 6 sisters, her parents and husband.
Visitation is Monday 6-8 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, with family hour Tuesday 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Third Baptist Church, Pastor K. David Johnson officiant. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear of Mrs. Channey's passing. My daughters and I spent time with her on the front porch and picking grapes in the backyard. I thank God for the times we spent together before I moved to Texas. She will stay in my heart and be dearly missed.

I first met you 2 years ago while visiting my family member in Laurels. I enjoyed your conversations and input on many things. I will NEVER forget you.
