Miriam Maynard Obituary

MAYNARD Miriam Gloria Authement Maynard, a retired registered nurse, age 72, died at her home in Chalmette, LA on October 20, 2004 at 5:30 a.m., wife of the late Marshall T. Maynard, loving mother of Darrell T. Maynard, Rene' M. Maynard, Gloria M. Desselles, Kevin P. Maynard, Andre'A. Maynard, Edmond L. Maynard, James D. Maynard, and Eric J. Maynard, mother-in-law of Eva Maynard, Don Desselles, Robbie Maynard, Beth Maynard, and Vanessa Maynard. Devoted Mere' Maw to 12 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Edward F. Authement and Miriam Gouguet Authement. Also survived by her loving sister, Eleonore A. Macaluso wife of Anthony "Mac" Macaluso and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edward F. Authement, Jr., and one grandson, Kirk Z. Maynard. Mrs. Maynard will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family, friends and all the lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday, October 25, 2004 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M. and on Tuesday after 9:00 A.M.
