A celebration in human form;
Made magic out of the darkest storms.
I adored my mother, she was my light, my heart, my loves safe place.
Emanated wonder and light, she embodied beauty, she was my definition of life.
My hearts saving grace.
She loved without boundaries, gave all that she had to let you know that you were loved.
Held you in every form of a mothers embrace.
I miss her voice, her singing, her dancing and laugh, our mother and
daughter date nights.
All the fun that we had.
I miss having that person who understood the unspoken. Knew when I needed her the most,
knew when my heart was broken.
She filled my childhood with art, music, adventures, and dreams.
Nothing was impossible because we had each other, the invincible team.
I may not have my partner, my best friend, but Oh do I have the memories.
I live my life the way she did, and love is the theme.
I look at her urn, I look at the dash between her birth and death. What represents the time and life that she's spent.
What an honor it's been to be a witness to this beautiful dash.
She made the impossible possible, with her creativity, charm and magnetism.
I was in awe of her. I was watching a mothers strength, ability and magic at its finest.
Made meals, Christmases, birthdays with nothing but a mothers drive.
This is a woman, this is a mother, this was an amazing life.
She was the gift I was given.
She protected me from the world's darkness, glamoured by her light.
So go on mom, put on your wings. Go home and take flight.

- The Avocado Story -

So my mom is so cute. Several years ago I was at her house and she made some of the biggest cheeseburgers for us.
I told her, "you know what would be better, is if you put an egg on them."
"An egg?" she asked.
So she made an egg and put it on my burger. She said "I can't believe you ate it that way".
I told her "It'd be even better if you added avocado". She just stared at me almost in disgust as we ate our burgers.
The next week she texts me asking if I'm coming over to her place after work for burgers. She said "this time I have avocado".
The cutest. I just love the kind of person she was. She always found ways to show how special I was to her and made me feel important. She found ways to show how much she had been thinking of me. She would go above and beyond with what means that she had.
I have modeled my own love and affections for others after my mother.
Show someone that you care and that you are thinking of them.
Even if it's just adding some avocado.
