Missionary B. Hoyle Obituary
Missionary Hoyle's life and legacy will be cherished and continued by her loving husband, Superintendent Bernell Hoyle; eleven devoted sons and daughters, one whom preceded her in death, Terrance A. Hoyle: Janet L. Christian (John), Sharon A. Poole, Cathy M. Cole, Jamie C. Hoyle (Linnie), Anita C. Smith (Nicholas)-whom acted as one of her personal caregivers, Pastor Christopher L. Hoyle (Mary), Barbara A. Sherman (Todd), Pastor Stephen B. Hoyle (Chris Ann), Evelyn K. Hoyle, and Lydia D. Everett (Kenneth); four siblings, one whom preceded her in death, Larry Smith: Elcie Poole, Morris Smith and Marcus Smith; thirty- two grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Friday at St. James Temple COGIC in Ripley, MS, beginning at 6 pm. Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 11 am, at St. James Temple COGIC. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Saints Rest Cemetery. Services entrusted to Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS. Mother Alma Hoyle was such a blessing to Northern MS Jurisdiction as our Elect Lady. I will never forget how she would read for Bishop Scott and other elders, sing with Supt. Hoyle, preach, I mean literally preach the word of God, shout and say "Glory" with all her might. It always made me feel good to greet her because she knew my name. She was reachable.
