Misty Dawn Gibbs

Misty Dawn Gibbs, 38, went to Heaven on Monday, December 28, 2009. A chapel funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 31, 2009. Rev. Richard Harper will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Services directing.
Misty was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cliff and Irene Vinson, Opil (Snooks) Gibbs, which to Misty was just "Paw", and Hubert McClellan. She was a 1990 graduate of Gaston High School. She then attended Gadsden State Community College, where she received her nursing degree. Misty was a very compassionate nurse who really cared for her patients. Misty enjoyed singing, fishing, and especially spending time with her friends and family.
Misty leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving son, Christopher N. Gibbs to whom she was a very proud and loving mother; her father Terry "Rackus" Gibbs; mother and best friend Judy Gibbs; brother, Neal Gibbs; grandparents, Mary Gibbs and Mary McClellan; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and also John McClellan and family.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Gibbs, Chris Dawson, Jake Ayers, Tyrone Johnson, Alex Messier, Authur "Red" Fincher, John Gibbs, Dennis Gibbs, and Clay Gibbs.
Misty was loved by many and will be truly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing and loving her during her short life here on earth. She is now in the arms of the Lord. Her memory will live on for those she left behind. Our most beloved Angel Misty Dawn.
The family will accept friends from 12 until 2 PM on Thursday at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
