Mitchell OSMAN Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 18 to Nov. 20, 2018.
Age 99 of the MN Masonic Home in Bloomington, where he had been lovingly cared for since 2002, passed away November 17, 2018, less than one month before his 100th birthday. Mike was a devoted husband, a loving father, Pops to his dear grandsons, a treasured uncle to his nieces and nephews, a World War II Veteran who proudly served in Normandy, and, in his time, a successful and respected member of the Minneapolis business community. Mike was a proud past Grand Master of Highland Masonic Lodge before it merged with Macalester Lodge #290 of St. Paul, and a member of Scottish Rite and Zuhrah Shrine Center. He enjoyed world wide travel with his late wife, and was a terrific photographer. He and Idellie were avid boaters on Lake Minnetonka and loved entertaining. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Idellie Schnitzer Osman; and his brother, Albert Osman. He is survived by his children, Sherri & Wayne Duke, Redmond, WA, Susan Osman, Minnetonka, and Peni & Steve Gensler, Tonka Bay; grandchildren, Marc Gensler, Brent & Marni Gensler; great-grandchildren, Eli, Liam, Eva and Benjamin Gensler; sister-in-law, June Schnitzer Freedman; lifelong family friend, Ethel Mayeron; nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service WEDNESDAY, November 21st 1:00pm, ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane W., Minnetonka. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ettinger, Hymanson, Schnitzer, Osman fund at the St. Paul JCC, the Shriners Hospital for Children Twin Cities, or donor's choice.
