MOIRA K. McENTEE
JUNE 15, 1992 - DECEMBER 27, 2022
On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, beloved daughter, sister, and fiancée Moira Katherine McEntee peacefully passed away at the age of 30. Moira is survived by her loving parents Maureen and Greg McEntee, her adoring brother Patrick, and her devoted fiancé Sean Speers, and many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Moira is preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Mary Jane McEntee and Edward and Grace Chambers.
People like Moira come around once in a lifetime. Whether you grew up with Moira or met her one time, you know the kind of warmth and joy she brought to a room. Her beauty radiated from the inside out. She devoted her life to advocating for children. Since she was a little girl, Moira knew she was born to work with children. Her passion led her to LaSalle University, where she earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in American Studies, Education and Special Education, as well as a certificate in Autism.
Moira’s selfless nature was reflected in her daily life. She was the kind of person who had endless amounts of room in her heart that every relationship was deeply important to her. Moira inspired others to recognize and enjoy the simple things in life whether it was iced coffee at Dunkin’, trips to Target, or standing like a flamingo when the first wave crashes.
Live your life with purpose, just like Moira.
Moira’s Life Celebration Memorial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 1500 Marian Road, Abington, PA on Monday, January 2, 2023. Friends and Family are invited to a Visitation from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. with a Mass to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Moira’s memory can be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program “Transplant Foundation,” 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

My heart is broken. Ms McEntee was the sweetest and most compassionate person I have ever met. She cared for my son. She stood by him every step of the way and never gave up on him when times were tough. She truly did light up a room. She was so amazing. Truly heaven sent.

Moira was a bright shining light in a lot people lives. She was an inspiration to many including myself. I had the honor of being her teaching assistant one summer at ABCCS and have worked with her in the SPED department at ASPIRA for the past 4 years. I learned more about teaching From her that summer than I ever thought possible and was inspired to transition from assistant to teacher. I personally will miss her bright sun-shiny personality at school, as will many of from ASPIRA. My deepest condolences to your family.

We were blessed to have Moira as part of The Little Gym of Abington team for a few precious years. She was a “kid magnet” and truly the most bubbly, sweet personality we ever had as an employee. We were thrilled to hear that Moira and Sean, who met at The Little Gym, continued their relationship beyond their time with us there. We are beyond heart broken to hear of her much too young passing. This world was a better place because of Moira and Heaven will be a better place with her there. Praying for all of her immediate family and extended family and Sean as you all walk through grief. May God’s Spirit carry you through and know that I’ll continue to pray for you all in the days, weeks and months to come. Love from Catie and Chris Haig

I remember one year she brought in a tin of homemade Christmas treats for me to share with my family. One taste of those delicious treats and I knew what a great baker she was. Needless to say those treats only lasted 10 minutes. By the time I got to the car those treats were in my belly. Thank you mom and dad for raising such a kind and thoughtful young lady.

Who am I going to vent to now, about my caseload of kids and when things get tough??? I'm going to miss your texts, your calls, our girl talk, our video chats; most importantly your smile and voice. Your presence in my life may have been short lived, but impacted me deeply. You are a true gem with a wonderful spirit. Thank you for being you. Rest in prettiness.

My prayers and condolences to the family during this time. I had the pleasure of working with Moira at Aspira Bilingual Cyber Charter School in the Special Education department. She was always so kind and helpful. Moira had a bubbly personality with a smile on her face whenever I would see her. I'll remember her just like that, with a smile. May God comfort all who knew her. She was an angel on earth, now in heaven.

Maureen, Greg, Patrick & Sean,
Our deepest condolences on the loss of your Moira. Though we saw her infrequently, her kindness towards our children will never be forgotten. Her small kindnesses- letting James & Fiona play with Hamnet, feeding them tons of candy, & simple acceptance of our Quinn has left a huge impact on us. We are devastated for you all and praying for your solace
Sincerely,
Megan & Jim (from North Wildwood)

Moira worked at Pantoja and was definitely passionate and loved her students. My fondest memory of her is when she volunteered to teach my daughter how to do a cartwheel correctly during her personal time. Bella is now 12 and still takes gymnastics and dance classes. She always gives Ms McEntee credit for teaching her. Rest in Peace sweet Moira! Thank you for being you!
