Mona L. Bash

Mona Lou Bash, 70, of Dayton, formerly of New Kensington, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at her home. Miss Bash was born on May 17, 1936, in New Kensington, to Paul Bash, of New Kensington, and the late Thelma (Weston) Bash. She had lived in the New Kensington area until moving to Dayton two years ago. She was an executive secretary at Alcoa in New Kensington, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, the Humane Society in New Kensington and she enjoyed her animals. She is survived by her father and her cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Charles W. Bash. Family and friends are invited from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the CHURCHFIELD-PETERS FUNERAL HOME, 501 Fifth Ave., New Kensington, 724-335-1951, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Colin Yuckman officiating. Burial will follow at the Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Borough.
