My deepest sympathies to your family. I worked with Mona many years ago and enjoyed every minute of it. She was so patient and kind with her students and was truly someone I looked up to. I loved her sense of humour. She always made me laugh. Her family was so important to her and I know how much you will miss her. She was a very special person and is gone far too soon.

Was a nice gathering today under the circumstances, I am proud to have known Mona as a teacher & friend for the years I attended DCEC. She was close to all her students, and gave us all the individual attention we needed to learn, and she had such passion teaching us. I'll never forget how she would sit next to each individual student to make sure they were doing there work and understood what they were doing. Without her guidance I do not think I would be a graduating student I am today. Come June, stepping up and grabbing my diploma will be such a honor, but not the same without Mona being there. Miss you always Mona, I'll never forget you.

Mona was a special person, who made a difference in so many peoples lives. She cared deeply about people, and showed it every day she encouraged and taught her students and loved her family. Miss Mona...the halls will not be the same without your wonderful smile. I have known and worked with Mona in the world of adult literacy for many years. She was a deeply caring, compassionate person, who looked to the interests of her learners above all. Mona was a fantastic person and an inspiration to so many students that she touched with her caring way. She was highly respected by both the students at DCEC and all the staff at DALA.
She will be sorely missed at DALA and in the community. She was a tremendous help to me in the six years I worked with her at DALA. I had a deep respect for her integrity and tremndous level of professionalism.
