Monica Thompson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 21 to Mar. 22, 2024.
Monica Thompson died at home Tuesday March 12, 2024 from an aggressive form of cancer. She was the daughter of Phillip and Linda Huddleston. She was born in Portland, OR, attended Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary, and graduated from Centennial High School.

She is survived by her husband Jim Thompson, her children Ley, Erica, Clayton, and Lily along with grandchildren Finn, and Laoghaire; siblings Lee, Mark, Veronika, Tawnya, Michael, Billy, Raven, Cricket, Lolita, Sunshine, Xavier, and Casey. Last but not least, her dogs Winston and Emi. She was predeceased by her mother Linda and grandchild Nova.

Monica held many jobs, including as a baker for Fred Meyer and had her own janitorial business. She also had a knack for record keeping. It was that ability that got her a job as a bookkeeper at Thompson Auto Body Shop, where her employer, Jim Thompson turned out to be the love of her life. They were married in 2001, and thereafter turned their partnership into a thriving auto body shop.

Monica did not wish a service, asking that she be cremated and her ashes spread into the ocean on her birthday, May 2nd, at a site she was fond of.

I always enjoyed spicy Monica! She was never afraid to speak her mind, and she was always so kind.

I will miss her.
