I was shocked and saddened to hear of Monique's passing. I worked with her at the Canada School in Vancouver. I didn't know Monique for long but she was an amazing teacher and person and thought the world of Mia. I am so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all.

I knew Monique through my sister. I had such admiration for her. The way she tackled life and all it's hurdles, is I am sure, how she faced her very sudden illness. Always with courage, humour and respect. May you rest in peace my little warrior.

Dear Ron, Nicole, PM and Mia....I was shocked and oh so saddened to hear of Monique's sudden passing. She has been so brave and courageous throughout her life and has dealt with so many challenges. I can only hope that she has now found peace and true happiness. She has always had such a fun loving and adventurous spirit, an infectious enthusiasm and "joie de vivre"....may that spirit now live on through you, beautiful Mia. We will all miss her so very much.

I am saddened to hear such news. I have known Monique for a while...I remember her back at my sweet 16 birthday party..a while back. She had such energy and a smile that lit up an entire room. I had the pleasure of seeing her a few times at the Good Life back in Ottawa and she was still so radiant. My sympathies to your family on your time of loss. Monique was truly special and sparkled with energy and enthusiasm. I worked with her for over a decade from when Monique joined the public service as a student in the late 1980's. She was driven to achieve and fell deeply in love with Darrell, who I had the privilege of working with before Monique arrived on the scene. Sadly, Darrell was taken away too soon. And now this.
I last exchanged email with Monique five months ago when she told me of how she and Mia had found happiness in Vancouver. Mia, it was my privilege to know and work with your parents. They were good and hardworking people who influenced others and cared very much for you. My condolences.
