Monty YARDLEY Obituary
Monty of Edmonton, Alberta passed away August 22, 2012 at the age of 60 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; Sean (Rennie) Yardley, Tavia Yardley- Wheeler and Johnathan Yardley, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, his mother Robbin, sisters; Judy (Paul) Seutter, Sharie (Dale) Parnham, brothers; Dean, Don and Vincent, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Monty was predeceased by his father Kevan Yardley, baby brother Leonard and brother Kevan Fred Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Evangelical Church located on 10815 - 76 Avenue in Edmonton. An Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Sherwood Park.
In lieu of flowers donations are gratefully accepted to The Good Samaritan Society at 8861 - 75 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T6C 4G8.

Monty was one of my favorite clients at Easter Seals - always positive and cheerful. I was shocked and saddened to read in the Metro of his passing. I can see by the other messages that he will be sorely missed. I hope when people think about someone living with a disability, they will think of Monty as a good example. Just because a life changes, doesn't mean it's over.

I looked forward to seeing Monty every work day handing out the Metro. He greeting everyone with have a good day. He touched many people everyday. I will miss him.

Monty and I were best friends in our school days and into your twenties . We lost contact many years ago but my thoughts were aiways with him . Talking with Monty in the mornings was often the highlight of my day. There was no better way to start the day than a handshake and a smile from Monty, and his booming voice bidding me to "have a nice day". When my company sponsored a take-you-kid-to-work day, I made sure my son got a chance to meet Monty and share a smile. His passing leaves a hole in my heart but his memory will linger with me for many years to come. God Bless, Monty!

Monty always started my day on a great note with his beautiful smile and warm greeting - always there, in rain or shine. He is proof that angels walk the Earth. I will miss you, Monty - may your new journey be as loving, wonderful and beautiful as you are.

Monty was the nicest person I have ever met. He always had a smile and gave me my Metro every single day. He also had a candy for me as well. I will miss his smile; however, I take great comfort that he is with the Lord. God Bless Monty's fammily during this time of grief.

I was told this morning about Monty's passing - My heart is so sad and I can't stop crying - when we (Trish and myself) worked at EPCOR on Jasper Avenue, Trish and I looked forward to seeing him every weekday morning and looked for him when he wasn't there. Even though our company moved several blocks away, I would still remember seeing him there when I went to the bank. My prayers go out to all of his family and I hope he did not suffer. Can someone please put a candy in with him - he always had candies to give us. God Bless!!!!

Monty, your friendly smiling face will be missed every morning at the Telus towers. You had a great heart and it still brings a huge smile on my face when I think about how you wrapped and given choclates at Christmas time. you were always pleasant and friendly...there should be more people like you in the world it would be a better place. My prayers are with your family and friends.
