Morbia Goatley, age 84 of Louisville, KY passed away on November 14, 2024, at Bradford Square in Frankfort. She was born on August 27, 1940, daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Stewart Kelly. She was a member of Yorktown Baptist Church. She retired from Bremner Biscuit Company where she worked for over 30 years. Morbia enjoyed gardening and crocheting, especially blankets for her family. She was a talented cake decorator and made many beautiful wedding cakes for clients in the Louisville area. She and her husband John were married for 43 years before his death.

In addition to her parents and her husband John, she is preceded in death by her brother Charles Kelly and sister Faye Houser.

Morbia is survived by her 4 children: Jennifer Goatley of Louisville, KY; Karen Embry (Darrell) of Frankfort, KY; Bruce Goatley (Sandy) of Cave City, KY and Timothy Goatley (Jennifer Penrose) of Louisville, KY.

3 grandchildren: Kristen Embry, Trevor Goatley and Patrick Goatley

2 sisters: Louise Vanover of Lewisport, KY and Mary Frances Goins of Cloverport, KY

She is also survived by her extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11 AM with burial in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 3 - 7 PM and Wednesday after 8 AM. All times are central.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Morbia's family would like to thank her caregivers at Bradford Square for their love, support and care: Emily, Grace, Greg, James, David, Ada, Eulene, Faith, Candi, Tina and Sandy and many others.
