Morris Stromfeld, 92, of Tamarac, Fla., formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away on April 15, 2011. Graveside service will be on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, N.J. Devoted husband of the late Elsie Katz Stromfeld, Morris was born on the lower East Side of New York and was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. Along with his brothers, he owned and operated Federal Shoe Store in Bloomfield Center. During World War II Moe was a member of the 15th Air Force and fought in Italy, receiving numerous medals for his service. He was active in the Verona, N.J., Little League, JCC of Verona, Jewish War Veterans, and the Bloomfield Suburban Club. Moe was a talented athlete, craftsman, and avid fisherman. He is survived by his loving children, Elaine (Donald) Blumenthal of Boca Raton, Fla., Gary (Janis) Stromfeld of Poway, Calif., and Linda (Robert) Lampinen of Brick, N.J.; beloved grandchildren, Steven and Michelle, Michael, Eric and Irene, Carrie and Craig, Michelle, Kevin, Rebecca, Michael and Matthew; adoring great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Ilana, Amanda, Eli, Pierson, and Gracen; dear friend, Simone Grim, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Donations in his memory may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 5420 NW 33rd Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. 33309, or Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center, 5000 Nob Hill Rd., Sunrise, Fla. 33351.
