I have many fond memories of Ted. When his sister Bonnie and I first met,she and I had both very recently come to Baltimore from out of state;Bonnie was living with Ted, Polly, and their son David. Ted had such a wonderfully quirky and an almost wicked sense of humor. He referred to his place of employment as "Ukelele, Saxephone, Fiddle, and Guitar".He had this "crazy" way of making his legs do and move in this weird kind of a dance that was hilarious. But he could also be serious, compassionate, and so very kind.He would sit down and talk with you about anything at almost any time;he was also a very good and attentive listener. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. I will remember the very best of that which is/was Ted (though how "Morton" become "Ted" I don't know..but "Ted" fit him)probably for the rest of my life.

James, my husband, and I have sorrow at his passing; however, he is now whole in body and reunited with his beloved wife, Polly, to whom he was married 63 yrs.He was present as a family member at my wedding and our child's birth and death. He filled many roles in his life within our family unit. We were blessed to have had his presence for 85 yrs. and 4 months on this earth. No one had a better personality then he did - that will be truly missed on this earth. Love to you Ted, Bonnie.

We worked closely together for many years at USF&G, and from that association I learned to have nothing but respect for Mort's talents and dedication to the Company and to his family. It's a sad day.
