Moshe Weiner

MOSHE WEINER, MD, Mount Sinai South Nassau mourns the loss of Moshe Weiner, MD, Hematology/Oncology specialist of Mount Sinai Doctors. As an attending physician of South Nassau Communities Hospital for more than 25 years, and later as an employed physician of Mount Sinai South Nassau, Dr. Weiner was respected and loved by his patients, their families, and the Mount Sinai South Nassau family. His life was truly a blessing as he helped so many patients and their families battle cancer. Dr. Weiner was in private practice with his brother, Doron, for 25 years as an oncologist in the South Shore Hematology Oncology practice in Rockville Centre, and remained as it later transitioned to Mount Sinai Doctors Hematology Oncology. Dr Weiner was profoundly compassionate, with an outstanding bedside manner. He cared for his patients as if they were his family. His staff meant the world to him as well, and he would always take the time to ask them how they were and try and make them smile. He was a private pilot with a great passion for planes and flight. When he was not caring for his patients or his family, he would be flying his plane. He will be truly missed as a physician, family member and friend. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, his patients, and especially his brother, Doron. We are all better for having known him. He was an outstanding and gracious individual and his presence will be sorely missed by all at Mount Sinai South Nassau.
