                           5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Crosspoint Community Church, for Mr. Joshua Blakney "Josh" Bond, age 31, of Purvis.  Mr. Bond passed from this life on November 5, 2022 in a tragic car accident.  Dr. Dean Register, Bro. Wes Register, Bro. Jason Matheny, and Bro. Brent King will officiate the service.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Powell, Logan Powell, Tyler Jackson, Wesley Matheny, Caleb Matheny, Levi Matheny, Randy Beck, Rusty Beck, Larry Hale, Johnny Hale, Clifton Bond, Leigh Gipson, Edward Bond, and Josh Bond.

Joshua was born on October 15, 1991 in Hattiesburg, MS.  He was the son of Troy and Fran Bond.  Joshua was a redemption story that turned his life around to become a faithful servant of Christ through Crosspoint Community Church of Hattiesburg, MS.  He was faithfully involved in point groups, teaching Bible Study for 1st graders, attending Sunday school, but most of all he was the smiling face you would see greeting members and guest at Crosspoint Church.  He loved his family, his 3 dear children, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He had accepted the Lord as his Savior and was to be baptized the day after his tragic death.  He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting, RC cars and planes, and disc golf as hobbies.

Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Netius Clifton and Wilda Elliot Bond of Purvis, MS as well as "PawPaw" Larry Gipson also of Purvis, MS; and maternal grandfather, Charles Jan Matheny of Purvis, MS.

He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Troy and Fran (Matheny) Bond of Purvis, MS; his three beautiful children, Chevy Ryder (9), Nollan Blakney (4), and Nova Rylee (3), all of Purvis; sisters, Jessica (Scott) Singh of Mobile, AL and Courtney (Tyler) Jackson of Purvis, MS; grandparents, Jimmie Sue Matheny of Hattiesburg, MS, Patricia "MeMe" Gipson of Purvis, MS and Allison Matheny of Purvis, MS.  He was a fun and loving uncle to Brandon , Bradley, Harleigh, and Kenzie.  He was loved by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as countless friends.  Joshua made an impact on many lives that we may never know.
