HARWICH - Muriel Violet (Snow) Badger, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Harwich, in her 92nd year.

Muriel was born in Brockton, on June 8, 1915, the only child of William and Mabel (Higgins) Snow.

She is survived by her daughter and longtime caretaker, Roberta Harrington of West Yarmouth. She also leaves daughters, Janice Rutten of Kenosee Lake Saskatchewan, Canada, and also Jean Jack of Santa Fe, N.M.; and sons, Floyd of Hingham, Robert of Gatesville, Texas, and Paul of Orleans. Muriel is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Muriel was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Gail, and sons, Ralph and Allen.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Bass River in South Yarmouth.

Muriel was always a caring and loving mother and grandmother, with a wonderful sense of humor. A great cook at home, she also worked with Ruth Wakefield at the Toll House in Whitman. She loved the Cape, and came from old Cape Cod stock, being descended from Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins and John Howland and Isaac Allerton.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m., at the South Yarmouth United Methodist Church, 322 Old Main St., South Yarmouth. There are no visiting hours, and burial will be private.

The Coutinho-Boisse Funeral Home of Harwich is assisting with arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you remember me. We haven't been in touch for many years, though I think of you often from Cape Cod days.
