Gertrude was born on September 8, 1934 and passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Gertrude was raised on the family dairy farm in Roy,attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Grade School and St. Mary of the Valley High School, graduating with the class of 1951. After dating for several years, they were married on November 20, 1954, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Roy when Edmund returned from his Army duty and have celebrated 64 years together. Gertrude was a devout Catholic and the founder of Our Lady's Rosary Makers at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Hillsboro, enjoying making rosaries and reading her Bible.
