TIGER PRICE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 17, 2010.
TIGER PRICE, 50, died at her home at St. Peter’s Manor on November 15, 2010, with her faithful cat, Chance, by her side. A native of Florida, Tiger came to Memphis from Chattanooga and found new friends who became her family at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral and downtown Memphis, and most recently at St. Peter’s Manor. A service celebrating Tiger’s life will be held on Friday, November 19 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Rev. Karen Barfield of Chapel Hill, NC, a close friend of Tiger’s, will offer the homily at the service. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Tiger’s friends will never forget her character, her spirit throughout many adversities, and her devotion to her friends and theirs to her. She was known for her prayer ministry, her Bible power verse of the day, and a “It’s a God thing”. The ministries of Methodist Hospice, Mary Dowling and Aimee Vesitis at St. Peter’s Manor, and Tiger’s doctors and nurses are gratefully acknowledged. Mary Pearson, and the “Tiger Team” led by Dr. Susan Nelson, The Rev. Drew Woodruff, and Mrs. Edie Street, and many members of St. Mary’s Cathedral are remembered with much gratitude for their love and support of Tiger, through good times and bad. Gifts in memory of Tiger may be sent to St. Mary’s Cathedral, 700 Poplar Ave., Memphis, 38104 or St. Peter’s Manor, 108 N. Auburndale St., Memphis, 38104, the two places she loved best.
