Nancy Caprio
Nancy Rose Canosa Caprio, 92, formerly of Frost Drive, North Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Waveny Care Center, New Canaan. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander J. Caprio. Nancy was born in Schenectady, New York on June 14, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice Villano Canosa. Nancy met her husband at the former A.C. Gilbert Company in New Haven; they married on September 1, 1951 and moved to North Haven in 1960. She had worked as an Office Manager for the former O.F. Mossberg & Sons of North Haven. She was a teacher at the former Stone's Business School. After retirement she volunteered many hours to the Legionaries of Christ, Cheshire, CT. She leaves behind her loving and devoted daughter, Roxann Painter, wife of Carl Painter. Loving sister to Albert Anthony Canosa and his wife Sharon. She had many nieces and nephews, but was a special aunt to Adam Canosa and his wife Rabab, their two sons Cooper and Caprio and also to John Carl Caprio.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022 at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Legionaries of Christ, 475 Oak Avenue, Cheshire, CT 06410 www.northhavenfuneral.com
