Nancy Cole Obituary

Nancy Brewster Cole, 84, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at her home in Venice, Florida. Nancy was born in Brockton Massachusetts on January 11, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Brewster O'Neill. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1949 and from Brown University in 1954. She married the late Gerald Cole in April 1954 and together they owned Pip Printing in North Syracuse, NY. Nancy had a long career as an English Teacher in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and retired from teaching after many years at Cuba Central School in Cuba, NY. Nancy was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Gerald B. Cole in 2001. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her loving children; Gregory (Judy) Cole of Silver Creek, NY, Alex (Michelle) Cole of Alma, NY, Alison Peabody Cole-Klodnicki-Rhodes of Venice, FL, and Elizabeth (Steve) Huggins of Venice, FL. Nancy is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
A service to celebrate her life will be held this summer in Syracuse, NY, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida 34238.
Toale Brothers Funeral Homes Ewing Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
