Mrs. Cook was my 4th grade teacher at Emerson Elementary in 1977. She was my all time favorite teacher. Sadly I lost touch with her. The last time I saw her was at the old Jones Grocery in Duncan when I was about 14.
She has always been missed. She was very good to me.

Mrs. Cook was instrumental in the aid and education of Sandy Dill, my brother 3 years older than me, and
Dee Dee Dill. We both were taught by her. Each when we reached 4th grade at Emerson Elementary. He had polio and she was instrumental in realizing he was ADD long before such a term existed, that he should see dr. to help, and I had Cerebral Palsy beginning 4th grade in a wheelchair from extensive surgery the summer before. I ended the year with crutches. She and staff worked together to make this a very productive school year. She ALWAYS remembered our names YEARS after being in her class even to adulthood! ALWAYS greeted with a warm, inviting smile, a bit of small talk...
