Nancy Flores Guy

Nancy Flores Guy, age 56, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in Metairie, LA surrounded by loved ones. She was born in 1964 in New Orleans, LA. A former resident of Arabi, LA, she resided in Metairie, LA since 2006. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Louis H. Flores, Jr. and Maxine Schubert Flores. She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Wayne Michael Guy, their two daughters Mary Maxine Guy, and Meredith Anne Guy, her siblings Elizabeth Flores Fronistas, Holly Flores Donnelly, and Louis H. Flores III. Nancy was a graduate of Loyola College of Music. In Arabi, she was the Co-Director of the St. Louise de Merillac Children's Choir and Ensemble and the Co-Director of the St. Bernard Parish Choruses - Children's, Youth, and Show - for many years. She was the Office Administrator at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic School where she began a weekly children's rosary devotion and directed the girls' choir. Most recently, she was Cantor and Director of Music at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. She also cantered at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Arabi, St. Ann Catholic Church in Metairie, St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Metairie, and Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Kenner. Nancy enjoyed her time as the lead female singer with the Accounts Receivable band. Previously she was a singer with Jubilation, a big-band style band. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70003 on February 13, 2021 at Noon. Visitation is from 10:00 am until Mass begins at Noon. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington, LA.
