HALL Nancy Hall Guidance department secretary in Cedar Grove, 63 Mrs. Nancy Hall, 63, died peacefully in Hackensack University Medical Center on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, after a brave battle against leukemia. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday from Shooks Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave. (Route 23), Cedar Grove, shookscedargrove.com. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church in Cedar Grove. Cremation services will be private. Visitation will be on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Nancy was raised in Montclair and settled in Cedar Grove 37 years ago to raise her family. She worked for 25 years for the Cedar Grove school system, including 21 years as the C.G.H.S. guidance department secretary, and was the past president and secretary-treasurer of the Secretary Education Association. Nancy had a great love for her coworkers and all the students that she worked with. She will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, generosity and loyal friendship. She was the beloved wife of 41 years to the late John Hall; devoted and loving mother to John Hall and his wife, Lisa, of Long Valley and Kelly Daugherty and her husband, Steve, of Olanthe, Kan.; cherished grandmother to Ed, Devon, Anabelle, Jenna and John; dear sister to Richard and Karen Flynn, Mary Rutan, Barbara Bannon, James Flynn, Pat Lockhart, Norman and Lucy Lensi, and the late Joan Lawson. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, www.leukemia-lymphoma.org, or to the Nancy Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Cedar Grove High School, 90 Rugby Road, Cedar Grove, N.J. 07009.

Dear John, Kelly, and families:
My sincere condolences on your loss. Nancy was always one of the kindest and most gracious individuals I have ever met. Her dedication to Cedar Grove High School students and staff was exceptional. What a gentle, kind soul we have all lost.
May she rest in peace, and may you find peace in knowing how much she touched the lives of those around her.
