NANCY MEINERT Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 26 to Aug. 27, 2010.
MEINERT NANCY J. (MEIER)
Nancy J. (Meier) Meinert, 71, of New Sewickley Township (Beaver County), formerly of Ross Township and West View Borough passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 after a three year courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and went to our Lord peacefully. Nancy was the devoted and loving wife of Robert "Bob" for over 50 years and dedicated and loving mother of Bob J. (Lisa), Mike J. (Pam), Dale J., Linda J. Rocco (Tony), Tom J. (Lisa) and 14 grandchildren, Brittany, David, Eric, Diana, Logan, Greg, Dalton, Micaela, Morgan, Parker, Stephanie, Sam, Carson and Blake. She is survived by sisters Joan Glavin and Diane Stebler. Nancy was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Charles Meier. She was loved by all who knew her and as a friend put it, "Nancy would light up the room". She worked after her children were raised and ended her career retiring from Gentile-Meinert & Associates, Inc. She wanted to especially thank her great doctor, Eileen Segreti and her wonderful staff for extending her life for over three years. Friends will be received at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, on Thursday and Friday between 2 and 4PM and 7 and 9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Ferdinand's Church, 2535 Rochester Road on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Ferdinand Church Building Fund.

Dear Bob and Family,

My prayers are with you at this difficult time. I would imagine I am the only one who still thinks of your wife and mother as "Nancy Jane". (Having two Nancys in our family the middle names were used to distinguish one from the other) She definitely was a special person with a talent for making sure the needs of others were met if she could possibly do it. Her smile was contagious and definitely lit up the room!
God gifted her with many talents and she made good use of those talents as wife, mother, cousin and /or friend. She now is at peace reaping the reward of her lifetime here on earth and God most definitely greeted her with a "well done oh good and faithful servant!"
With many prayers that you will find peace knowing she is with you in spirit,

Sister Barbara Anne Quinn, RSM
