Shellberg, Nancy Jean Our mother passed away peacefully on September 8, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Evanston, IL on November 25, 1933. She raised her children in Northbrook and later moved to Phoenix to be closer to family. She was an "old school" mom PTA, Brownie troop leader, field trip chaperone, election judge and manager of the Northbrook Cougars Baton Team. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Carl Weidman. She is survived by her brother, Pete (Pam) Weidman; children, Tom (Lynn), Susan and Pete (Annie) Shellberg; grandchildren, Amy (Richard) Anaya, Kathy (Stephen) Bussiere, Brittany (Ian) Shirkey, Tommy, Ciara and Andy Shellberg; as well as many great-grandchildren. The family will hold a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 27th. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Arizona Humane Society.
