My Dad, George Highland worked with Nancy for years at the hospital. She was absolutely his favorite nurse there. And she became my favorite too once I started working for him. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Nancy is one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and amongst, if not the, first to welcome me and my parents when we moved to Atascadero. I am grateful to have known her and I know my parents were more than grateful of her continued support while I was deployed in Iraq. She is a kind and caring soul and will be deeply missed.

I met Nancy when she worked at Atascadero General Hospital with my mother. Later, after I became a nurse myself, we worked together at Atascadero State Hospital and attended church together. Nancy was always a ball of fire, full of energy and bustling about making sure the patients got the care they needed. She was definitely a tribute to the profession. Sleep well, you deserve it.
