Nancy A. Swain, age 89, of Adamstown, MD, died on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA. Nancy was born on August 2, 1934 in Maryland to the late Walter William Cunningham and Edith Day Cunningham Gloyd. Nancy was preceded in death by two daughters, Robin Swain and Teresa Swain, as well as one brother and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Freemont "Buddy" Swain, sons David Swain (Julie), and Timothy Swain (Kirsten), granddaughters Marissa Swain St. Pierre (Josh), Sydnie Swain, Rachel Swain, and Emma Swain. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, crocheting, and needle point. She loved caring for her granddaughters, great-nieces, and great-nephews, but most of all, she was a devoted wife who loved spending time with her family. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Maryland. In memory of Nancy, memorial contributions may be made to The Martha W. Goodson Center in support of memory care. The Martha W.
