Nancy Ellen Walker, 64, passed away September 18, 2012, at her sister's home in Anchorage, AK. Born October 8, 1947, in Oceana, WV, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Lou and Wannie Frank Walker. Nancy was a 1965 graduate of Oceana High School. She spent 20 years in Welch as payroll supervisor for Stevens Clinic Hospital. Nancy also worked at the Washington Golf and Country Club in Washington, D.C., at Stop Abusive Family Environments in Welch, and in social service nonprofits in Alaska. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nancy and Jacob Walker, Jr., and Golda and Oak Lamb. Nancy is survived by her sisters, Wanda Privett of Charlestown, MD, and Wilda West of Anchorage AK; four nieces and nephews and their spouses; and nine great nieces and nephews.
