I am so saddened that we have all lost a wonderful friend and neighbor. What a wonderful person, with a kind heart, and a giving spirit. She will certainly be remembered for all the lives she touch in the school system and those of us that knew her are better people for that.

To the family of "Jan" Shadbolt: My two girls and I thought the world of Jan. She taught them at Bluefield Junior High School and coached them in sports. She had a big impact on their attitudes and lives. She'll not be soon forgotten by us.
God Bless and keep you, Fran and Lisa Nichols and Diane Hill

I am so sorry to her family for their loss. I worked with Jan at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital several years ago. I really enjoyed working with her. She was really a go getter, and would talk about the children she taught. I believe she loved teaching as much as she did nursing. My prayers are with the family.

I was saddened to hear of Shadbolt's passing. She was a wonderful teacher and an even better co-worker. She always stressed that you should treat your students with compassion. Shadbolt had a great influence on anyone who went through her class.
