Nash
Why?
Because its been a year?
I hugged you in my dream
Your eyes said you have been crying alot
Who else have you been visiting?
I leaned back in to embrace you
And we cried alot
I said "this isnt supposed to happen"
And you said
"But you have seen the alternative"
You my dear friend have been sorely missed
Thank you for visiting my dreams.

Nash, the smart, funny, and c caring friend I met years ago in Boston at the ArtBar in Boston on Thanksgiving. We were having our Thanksgiving dinner in such a nice place when our eyes met and we started talking from across our tables. You with your two little boys and me with my two little boys. We chatted and found we had so. much in common. We always said how funny it was that the universe, God, brought us together like that. I will always remember you making me try red bean ice cream and the love I have for it to this day. We had the same quick sense of humor. The many nights and daily phone convos we had getting each other through tough times. The books you sent me for no reason whatsoever, just because you wanted me to have some humor in my life when the world was so difficult. I wish for so many more times we could talk, even now. Your love for Luke and Will was so deep and you were an amazing mother. Rest in eternal peace, my friend.

Thank you for being such a great mentor to me. No matter what life circumstances you were dealing with, you would still take the time out to teach me about your profession and let me shadow you in the OR. You were a true teacher and mentor, and I looked up to you. Rest easy.
