KERNERSVILLE — Dr. Natalie Elizabeth Hicks Green died Saturday, February 28, 2009, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the Lowe's Grove Baptist Church in Durham with Rev. Forest Gale and Rev. John Connor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
She was born on July 22, "and a lady would never tell you the year", in Lockhart, South Carolina, to the late Elizabeth Feemster and Robert L. Hicks. She was a graduate of N.C. State University, received her Master of Arts in Teaching from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and received her Ph.D. in Math and Science from Carolina Christian College. She was professor of the engineering math department at NC State University and also at UNC-G and Bennett's College in Greensboro. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in High Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland M. Green.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Connor and her husband, Larry of Kernersville; nephew, Robert Larrison, Sr.; and great- nephew, Robert Larrison, Jr.
The family will visit with friends from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, and also at the church prior to and following the service on Wednesday.
The body will lie in state at the church for 45 minutes prior to the service on Wednesday.

Amanda, the family of Harold Green was so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. She was always so kind to us when she visited Grandmother Green's house in the country. God bless you during this time of sorrow.
