Natasha Polinko Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 14, 2023.
Natasha L. Polinko, known affectionately as Tash, Tasha, or Tashie, passed away on August 7, 2023, in Modesto, California, at the age of 39. She was born on October 22, 1983, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Natasha was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many.

Although she was born severely disabled, Natasha was a Master Teacher, exemplifying the beauty and power of unconditional love. She taught others how to love wholeheartedly, without expecting anything in return, except perhaps an occasional beautiful smile. Everyone who came within her orbit became a better person, as she radiated love and kindness.

She is survived by her mother Doreen, her father Michael, her stepmother Lynn, her sisters Kristeen and Patricia, her uncle Craig and aunt Lisa, her uncle Keith and aunt Suzie, her godparents Brett and Brigitte, her grandmother Lupe, her friends of the family Paul and Vince, longtime caregivers Cindy, Rie and Rie's son Rylan, Jessica and Misty. And numerous nephews, a niece, and many cousins. Natasha was a cherished part of their lives, and her memory will forever be held dear.

Natasha was preceded in death by her Oma Ellen, Opa Skip, and Pop-Pop Butch. Although they are no longer with us, their love and influence will always be remembered.

In accordance with the family's wishes, services will be private. The family appreciates the love and support they have received during this difficult time.

Natasha's legacy of unconditional love and the impact she made on the lives of those around her will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.

Natasha always made me smile when I was down. Seeing her smile, hearing her laugh, and always gave me a lift during some very personal times when I felt so alone in this world . You are missed Tash.

Happy Birthday up in Heaven
from your family here below.
We love you, and we miss you,
and want to let you know.

Your birthdays aren´t forgotten.
and your memory yet lives on.
We celebrate your life with us
even though you´ve gone.

Were God to grant us just one wish,
then make that wish come true,
you´d be here right beside us
and we´d spend this day with you.

And while here for your birthday
you would be so hugged and kissed
that you would know before you go
how much you´re loved and missed.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Natasha
We love you

A year has passed since you´ve been gone but I feel these are the words you whisper down from heaven Natasha

Light a candle,
see it glow,
watch it dance
when you feel low.
Think of me,
think of light,
I'll always be here,
day or night.
A candle flickers
out of sight,
but in your heart
I still burn bright.
Think not of sadness,
that I'm not near,
think of gladness
and joyous cheer.
I have not left,
I am not gone.
I'm here to stay
my family and loved ones
so when you light a candle
and you see it glow
and you watch it dance,
in your heart you'll know
that I would never leave you,
even when you feel so blue.
I'm sitting up here with the Lord
and now watching over you.

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
rage, rage, against the dying of the light."

Natasha raged for 17 months. She fought so hard. She was so brave.

For years on our kitchen cabinets were photographs of the children of friends, and one special photo in its proud place was of Natasha wearing her uniform for the school's baseball/softball team she was on. Mike had told us once that he grew up rebelling against uniforms in school but that while Natasha was in school he was glad uniforms were the dress code for the students. Uniforms made for more emphasis on how all were included in the group, large or small. And what is more unifying than a sports uniform? Tash wore it well, too. It's how we'll always see her in our minds when we think of her and smile!

Tasha experienced more adversity than any of us yet the most frequent comment/ memory i see here is about her smile. Ill remember her most for the her innocence, bravery and love. You taught me and so many others. We'll miss you Tasha and the love you brought forth from everyone who met you.

Tash was such an amazing person who only ever seen the good. I will always miss the memories of spending the night at Grandmas with my brothers and having her there to keep us company. God Bless and you will be in my prayers.

The day we became sisters, you were imprinted on my brain and can never truly go away. Memories fade over time, but my sister isn't a memory she's a part of me.
Sisterhood is tried and true, remember me and I'll remember you.

Natasha your pure and beautiful spirit will live on forever in all our hearts . Tho we walk with sorrow we also walk in joy remembering you.
~Sorrow and celebration can coexist. As a matter of fact, they should coexist. There´s still beauty to be found in the ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Joy can be found in the midst of sorrow, and peace can exist in the middle of uncertainties and the
why's of life .~

Natasha's smile was contagious. Her laugh was beautiful and made you feel better No matter how bad your day was going. I spent a lot of time with her, her Dad, her Mom, and so many loving care givers. But It was Natasha who gave the most. I will miss her.
